Re: Garmin 60csx:A spot burned in the LCD screen

Did you try calling Garmin? I've heard of plenty of success stories, even when out of warranty. It never hurts to ask.

Re: Haunted Holcomb

In April we attempted it and it was awful. We also got 5-6 ticks on us for our < 10 minutes of effort. I have a feeling I won't be attempting that one again until I know things have been cleaned up. Which I don't see being any time soon.

Re: Pathtag design

I think I'm going to go with the silver. I'm still in the rough draft stage. I haven't put a whole lot of time into the final design yet, but it shouldn't be too different from that design.

Pathtag design

I've been trying to put together a pathtag, and this is what I've come up with. If you guys let me know what you think I would appreciate it.

Re: Ticks & Mosquitoes 101

Well you're not alone. We went to a cache a couple of weeks ago that had some rotting carcasses littered around the area. Not only did we not find the cache, we also had six ticks between the four of us. Lovely little critters, aren't they?

Re: 3rd largest cemetery in nation has caches disabled.

It sounds like they just want to make sure that the caches are appropriate, I'm sure they'll be re-enabled as soon as they're in compliance.

Oregon 400t on sale

The Oregon 400t is on sale at REI.com from now until May 10th. It's $400 and there's an additional $50 mail-in rebate from Garmin. If someone's looking to upgrade it looks like a great deal.

Re: Decided to make a name change

You have the twin 4 yos right? My kid has decided to ditch me and stay with Grandma. I thought this would happen later in life not at 3. Maybe I'll see if I can rent that Charger and scratch my itch for some speed after all. I'll try our team name out on Sat and see if I can remember it. Yep, I hav...

Re: Decided to make a name change

My husband and I were kicking around Team Alpha Super Awesome Cool Dynamite Wolf Squadron instead of our individual names. What do you think? I think that's a really long name, are you sure anyone would remember it? Maybe we'd use too many name tags at events? Speaking of events, are you coming Sat...

I guess I really am the odd one out having the Oregon. I thought more would use the Oregon/Colorado. Apparently I thought wrong!

Decided to make a name change

Even though the witness protection agency advised against it, we've made a change to our caching name. The funny thing is, there's probably not a whole lot of you guys that know us anyways! I figured it's better to do now than 6 months or a year down the road. We've changed our name from "aldfa...
