Re: Dos and don'ts in US

I am *so* hoping for enough snow to use my snowshoes this winter! And I'd also entertain the idea of a road trip to northeast Ohio for anyone who wants to rent some and try 'em. GeaugaGarmin scheduled an event last year, but it got no-snowed out. If you're just here for one winter, I'd just bring wa...

Re: 2013 NWOGEO HOLIDAY SHINDIG

I am amused by the GC code for this one. The forepeak is the inside space in the pointy end of the ship, and is often where we threaten to tie up unsuspecting sailors, or people we think should be sailors. It is a dark and somewhat malodorous part of a ship, where many events of ill-repute are rumor...

Re: Is it really missing?

That's actually what pegged my attention - right after he archived his "cache" he reported someone else's.

Re: Is it really missing?

Yeah, I was wondering about a 1.5/1.5 in a playground. That, and it violates my "don't lurk in playgrounds" rule. Just seems a little gutsy to "Needs Archived" a cache based on the vast experience of 7 finds.

Is it really missing?

Seems a little abrupt that someone with only 7 hides goes straight to "needs archived" on this. Anyone who has already found it feel like checking on this cache? http://coord.info/GC464Z7

Re: Google Maps detail

Noticed two things today:

1) this feature no longer works on iPhones
2) the restaurant in BG that you can walk into is SamB's *across* from Ben Franklin's

Re: Water Caching

I would be interested, but it is looking more and more like I'll be updating my own coords around that time. I'd also be interested if they offer shuttle service for BYOBoats.

Re: Google Maps detail

There is a building on Main St. in BG that you can "walk through" on Google Maps. I forget off the top of my head which one - maybe Grounds for Thought or Ben Franklin? Something in that area, and on the west side of Main. Of course, now that I'm looking for it I can't find it.

Re: GEO PET PEEVES revisited

I found myself wondering about the "someone called the cops on me when I placed it - happy caching!" one that got posted recently... Yeah, no.

My newest pet peeve is COs who delete 'needs maintenance' logs instead of actually performing maintenance and logging it.

NE Ohio, NW Penn two-fer event weekend?

There are two events coming up that both have high fun potential. Shenango River Water Trail Kickoff second leg is July 13 (http://coord.info/GC4EG2M). Seven miles of paddling and caching. We did nine miles a few weeks ago, for 38 finds. It was rough - the water was high. July 14 is I Wanna Go Fast ...
