Re: GEO PET PEEVES revisited
Junk in the hint section. Out in the field, need a hint, decode it, and all you get is "are you kidding" or 'none needed", or some other non-hint garbage.
Pretty minor though, in the whole scheme of things.

Re: Turkeyfoot area -new owner
OK, here's the Real Deal..... Did a cache across from Turkeyfoot today, then went down the road a ways to a parking area to log it. While I was there, a state Wildlife Officer drove in, so I talked to him about this. He says it now belongs to the Wildlife Division, everything on this side of the riv...

Re: Unusual Cemetery Monuments
Thanks Cheech for the technical help. I had heard about this one from a guy that was doing family research. My grandparents grave site is just a couple of rows away, you can see the headstone in the big photo above, just over the top of the Campbell stone.

Geocaching on the Live Well Network
The Motion show on the Live Well Network did a show on geocaching, and it is available to watch at THIS LINK. Motion is a great show produced by the Aiello brothers, where they go to different places and do outdoorsy stuff, usually hiking in the western USA. Its an interesting show, they get into so...

Re: Turkeyfoot area -new owner
I checked the official DNR Wildlife website blog back into last December, and found no mention of the trade. The DNR maps do not show any changes.
Maybe best just to sit tight on this one and see what develops.

Turkeyfoot area -new owner
Was advised by a DNR employee a couple of days ago that the Turkeyfoot area on the old US24 is no longer under the jurisdiction of Mary Jane Thurston State Park. It has been traded from the DNR State Parks to DNR Wildlife, about a month ago. It was a trade for the Wingfoot area near Akron. Apparentl...

Idaho power trail
Was looking at some possible places to visit, and the area SW of Boise is a mecca of caches. The Mud Flat area is semi-remote, and has an extensive power trail. Look at it on gc dot com or Google Earth using coords N42 52.170 W116 10.590. That will put you in the center of a large group of caches sh...
