EVINCE Geochecker is Dead!
After coming up with a second possible solution for a local puzzle, I tried to check the solution using the geochecker (EVINCE). It was down. After two days, I posted my frustration on a Facebook group and found out that EVINCE was shut down about a month ago and will not be returning. If your puzzl...

2017 Geocaching Resolutions
Any 2017 geocaching resolutions? Here are mine... 1) My primary geo-resolution for 2017 is to complete the three Tri State Treaty Challenges (for Ohio, Michigan and Indiana) and find those three geocaches (GC3VJCQ, GC3VJD0, GC3VJD5). In order to qualify for two of these (Ohio & Michigan), I need...

Re: 2016 Geocaching Resolutions
Yippie! I completed my initial 2016 geo-resolution of completing the 360 degrees around my home and finding a cache on the one day that I missed on my calendar fill the previous year. Early in the year I added another goal to make a huge dent in the second round of the finds calendar fill. I had 97 ...

I will bring some Baked Beans again. Hopefully, I won't spill the beans, like I did on the way to the Holiday Party in December.

Re: iphone apps
I am going to help out with the Metroparks Outdoor Expo again this year (May 21) and when I did it two years ago, someone asked what app they should install. I recommended the Geocaching intro app at the time. However, I am not sure I am comfortable recommending the current GC.com app right now. So,...

Re: 2016 Geocaching Resolutions
Good goals Andog. #4 & #5 should be easy. 250+ more finds by the end of the year makes #3 doable. Putting out 13 more hides is ambitious, but doable for #2 (and fun for the rest of us). About how many unfound caches do you have in Putnam County for #1?

Geocaching Will and Testament
After the loss of our good geofriend Mighty-Mo, there was often questions as to what should (or can legally) be done with his geocaches and geocache listings. The question of what were "his" wishes was left to his family to state to geocaching.com. I thought that it might be wise to have a...

Re: iphone apps
I don't have a smartphone, but the geocaching podcasts I listen to often mention two apps as being great. C:GEO and Cachly. I am not sure if both work on the IPhone platform.
