I really like the one shaped like Ohio, simple but nice. Also where would the part of the trackable code be? Can the guy in Michigan do geocoin tracking numbers?

Just a question. How many cachers have you seen that carry their coins in their pockets without the protective casing? Or better yet how many coins have you seen that were not in plastic or something similar other than German coins which some people wear on a lanyard?

If you look below, the "NWBBBD" was placed to show where the tracking number would likely be. The "Trackable at geocaching.com" would be in smaller font than I could figure out how to create on that image. And, Yes, geocoinclub does trackable coins.

Of course, that's if we would decide to make them trackable. Some of the other committee members would know better, but there is a decent charge for the "ICON" as well as the "tracking numbers" paid to the frog. It would significantly increase the price. Not all "desirable" coins are trackable ones.

Couldn't it be trackable without an icon? Thereso reducing the price?

Well, that is a option. If I'm correct that gives the coin the round gold "cent" icon, and all the codes for the coins start with PC, for personal coin.

I think maybe the steering committee should meet next month to see what kind of capital we can put forth to the effort.

Yea but we couldn't use Signal. I e-mailed Groundspeak. And they said under no circumstances could Signal the Frog be used in anyway to make any product for profit or not.

Also, would it be a big deal if it said PC? The coin would still be trackable. I don't think it's that big of a deal what the code is. Just my 2 cents.

I'm an icon whore, I admit it. I am willing to pay the extra for a custom icon. I'm sure there are a lot of us.

If we cannot use Signal the Frog I would assume that the "Groundspeak" guy would be off limits too. So that would rule out this design as well as any with the Groundspeak CITO logo in it as well. The art will have to be original. Does the shirt design even follow this logic?

I don't know exactly how everything works, it may it may not. All I know is I would like to buy 2-3 NWOG coins.
