From the Metroparks Website:

Pearson Metropark is closed through June 30 while ash trees are removed as part of the Ohio Department of Agriculture's emerald ash borer eradication program.

Infestations of the beetle have been found at Pearson in Oregon and Oak Openings Preserve in western Lucas County. Ash trees have been marked for removal at both Metroparks.

Cutting has begun at Pearson April 25 and is expected to be complted by May 15, when cleanup will begin. Metroparks plans to reopen the park in time for the July 4 holiday. Macomber Lodge will remain open throughout the project to honor reservations.

Caches in the park should be disabled during this period!
