BYO allowed? Tolerated? Frowned upon? Ignored by the masses present?

Our contract for the venue specifically does NOT allow us to have alcohol on the premises. There IS an option to allow it, however it would have required another permit along with the liability associated with it.
So, no balloons OR alcohol!

No problem with no alcohol or no balloons, but what is the reasoning for the balloon ban? Environmental thing, they can eventually get loose and litter up the countryside?
Just asking....

From the BG parks perspective, and probably the Wood County Parks too, balloons tend to escape and get caught in the ceiling fans and at the peak of the ceilings. This has happened a lot when we first startred renting buildings. I was psyched because it gave me a chance to use my pellet gun.
The powers that be, however, wern't thrilled with my solution.
I can imagine a ranger with a 9mm doing the same thing.
