I really like the idea of making it a GC event! I unfortunately will be out of town on the weekend of the 12th, and the further it gets pushed back the less likely I will be able to attend anyways for family reasons. So I voted for a GC event on another date. But it makes sense to do it on the date that is best for the most people.
I am an amazed cacher!

The family is heading up north to Gaylord, MI on July 12. I will keep checking on this though to see what date is decided on. I am willing to do what everyone else is doing in the kayaks. Just need guidance as this will be our first caching on the water.

Making it an event sounds wonderful to us!

But we have our first visit to Comerica Park that day, and our lighthouse festival Sunday, so that's a bad weekend for TeamMina. :(

A sad reality, but something to think about with this picnic idea.

It seems as if this is not that interesting of an idea, I know I will be out on the water a lot this summer, anyone can contact me if they would like to find these caches. I will provide the boat. I would rather get a bunch of people together to do this, but we need some more ideas from you cachers that are interested.

The 28th is now not an option for me. Hopefully we can come up with a date that works for the most people.

If everyone who was interested in this would post a list of dates that they would prefer, plus a list of dates that are NOT possible for them, I'll put together a date prefernence table.

If we pick a date and it is 14 plus days ahead of when we pick it, I'll also post a GC event.

I'll try to post my list soon.

Finding a date that a dozen cachers will all be free is tough and when it becomes an event that number will grow. How would the picnic work?

I am thinking the motor powered boats can bring picnic supplies to one of the islands. We meet there, cache before of after we eat, then tell stories, make smores, or whatever else people care to do. Any other suggestions are welcome.

If we pull off this event I think we should make an exception to "Boats Required".

This is a pic I took on Wood tick/North Cape a few years ago.

I remember hearing that this guy crashed within weeks of this picture down by Pier75. It was all over the news.

Okay, here is the latest.

We are not planning on going tomorrow or on the 12th for various reasons.

We are now looking at July 20, 26, 27, August 2, 3, 17, or 23, for an event. Please post if any of these days do not work for you. We will be trying to accommoiate as many schedules as possible. We will be meeting at the end of next week to nail down a date, so......

Please post by Wednesday of next week what does not work!!!!

Thanks!!!!
