Another bad idea for cache placement
If the coordinates are correct this cache that was just published in lima in my opinion ought to be taken down. Read my log to get the idea why.

Re: Another bad idea for cache placement
When is it ever a good idea to place a cache in a high muggle area.
IMHO if geocaching hopes to exist well into the future, they need to make a firm rule that prohibits this type of hide.

I typically ignore the "stealth required" attribute. I consider using stealth as looking suspicious and that can contribute to the bomb squad being called. I try to look like I belong there doing what I am doing.

I have to pass on this one because of the part about "don't be creepy".

I Seuss I don't understand what is meant by "don't be creepy". I'm not going to Lime in the near future anyway.

When we see it in the news, you can call them and tell the public that it was a bad idea in the first place.

creepy is not part of my persona...the walker only goes 0.016 mph, that's a little above creeping...

Re: Another bad idea for cache placement
When the cache owner works for the business, and the business manager gives permission, it's darn hard to find a reason in the listing guidelines that would prohibit publication of this cache.
They don't let us deny cache submissions just 'cuz the reviewer doesn't like them. (Were it otherwise, you would not see me publish any puzzle caches!) We also don't review for subjective factors like "cache quality.' If you hide an ammo box filled with gold coins but it's 200 feet from a blinkie nano on a sign post, the blinkie wins every time. If you say "mine is better," that puts me in the position of having to tell some momma that their baby is ugly.

This is why they changed their names from Approvers to Reviewers a long time ago. They may not approve of your cache, but they do have to review it to see if you are coloring within the lines.

Re: Another bad idea for cache placement
on my last colvosack cache I had to explain to a soccer mom about geocaching and why she was going to have visitors on her sleepy colvosack.

"they" said that's what the ignore button is for...

Say it ain't so, I can't imagine geocaching without puzzles.
