Poker Run Options
I was playing with plotting the poker spots and right it looks like it will be between 50-62 miles for the run. Do you this will too long of a run?
I'm debating on how to release the caches for Poker Run. Releasing the new caches on Saturday and the ones for the Poker Run on Sunday. Or releasing all the caches on Saturday but not indicating which one are for the poker run until during the event.

Re: Poker Run Options
Pt. 2
I was thinking having different starting points.
Option 1 is starting at #1 cache and finish #7, the next team will start at #2 and finish at #1, etc. With having the coordinates for the next cache in the cache
Option 2 Giving a list of all cache coordinates but not indicating which are for the run. Then giving each team a different starting point and in that cache ill be names of two different caches and they can decide which direction to go(clockwise or counterclockwise) in loop.
Option 3 is just give everyone a list of poker run caches in no peculiar order and let everyone decide their route.

Probably a bit too far. The gas isn't the problem, just to long away from the party.

Re: Poker Run Options
You could put the list of all of the caches in the caches. Randomly give the cachers coordinates to one cache and then they can figure out where to go once they get the list.

Re: Poker Run Options
Do you mean it would be like a circular list? Each list would be the same, so that where ever someone started, they would just keep going around the list until complete?McCombRef wrote:You could put the list of all of the caches in the caches. In fact, if we had 12 points, the starting points could be be points on a clock face. But 12 could be too many. Yogi?

Actually we not that far away from the event, Riverbend is about 11 miles away and Van Buren is 9 miles. I was trying have the stops a permanent caches instead of temps.GizmoGuy411 wrote:Yes I think that is a bit too long of a distance. Anyone else?

Re: Poker Run Options
I think the mileage is OK, I racked up over 20 miles one day, looking for caches, and never left Upper Sandusky.
