Has anyone else had this issue?

Post by T-Hunter »

I was logging my caches using the field notes, copy and paste and adding where needed and right when I got to the last one I get this message:

Whoa! Slow Down

You've been redirected to this page because the site hamsters noticed you are viewing pages faster than humanly possible. There are several reasons why this may be happening:

* You may have installed an add-in for your browser that is doing things you don't see.
* You are using some automated tools to pull information on the site.
* You have super human abilities.

What You Can Do

* Stop! Have a cup of coffee, glass of water or go out geocaching. We'll let you back in shortly.
* Disable any add-ons to your browser, like Greasemonkey, that may be hitting the site too fast.
* Stop using automated tools to access the site. Like Mos Eisley Cantina, we don't allow droids here.

To the Super Humans

We're jealous! Hopefully you are the hero types and not the villains, but we don't judge. Just don't steal geocaches.

However, if you could be so kind as to slow down your super surfing, it would help our servers respond to other users that don't have super strength, speed, or tight fitting leotards.

Nope, for about 5 minutes or so every time I clicked on the "dam" earth cache we did that we did that was the text that I got on my screen. Pretty weird.

it is probably a new security feature within GC.com to prevent spam. That would be my guess.

hmmmmm...you either have super human fast fingers data entering...
or...
the site really can't keep up with you...

past few days, it's been super slow downloading pix onto my logs...
to the point where it was aggravating...
started after the thursday maintenance run...
SuchaNana...Life is STILL an Adventure...

We love it! Knew the hamsters were in charge of all the goings-on around here somehow!

Did you say you copy and paste the logs? I once logged a cache that took three logs to fit the whole thing in because geocaching has a limit on the number of characters per post. Log for GC18K1K

Yep, copied and pasted and added to it where needed. Piqua just didn't have that many interesting caches you know.

I second that emotion! Although, I will say they HAVE gotten better from when I first started caching. That's a plus! Maybe I should go down & start hiding some!
