Yogi injury
Yogi (Jim Engard) fell from a ladder on Thursday and seriously injured himself. He is in St Rita's hospital in Lima with a head injury, and fractured vertebrae, and ribs. I'll let you know further developments.

Re: Yogi injury
Sharon said he is doing a lot better and may get to come home Monday or Tuesday. She said visitors are allowed and he is in room 4 on the 4th floor. Take elevator A at the main entrance.

Re: Yogi injury
Memsochet and I visited Jim today. Sharon wanted me to keep this thread updated.. Jim had 2 vertebra with pieces broken but they will heal themselves. He had to have a piece of skull taken out to relieve the pressure and it is still currently draining. Jim was awake and talking to us today but was on pain medication so he was kind of in and out. He has some sever bruising from when he landed on the concrete. The doctors do expect him to make a full recovery and are currently telling him he will be off work 6 weeks. At the moment he says he probably isn't going to make the Christmas shindig. They are still going to try to let him come home by mid week if everything goes well.

Re: Yogi injury
I just talked to Sharon today. Jim is doing ok, but in a lot of pain. He also has cracked ribs, and ringing in ears (maybe a hearing problem temp or permanent) and two buttons sewn to his skull to put the plug back in. Yikes. I can imagine the headache.
He should be off a minimum of 6 weeks. He has to go to rehab for the fractured back and of course the skull problem.
He was trying to fix a leak in his roof, and that didn't get done. Maybe a few of us could try to fix the problem before it gets nasty? I've done some roof work, but leak fixing can be a bitch to track down.
Do we have any roofers?

Re: Yogi injury
I'm in.
I don't know if I would classify myself as a roofer, but I do a couple roofs per year. I have a pretty good success rate on finding leaks too.
If someone sets things up, I will be there.

If you need any help with groundwork, I'll be there... Maybe hold a ladder? My knee says no more ladder or roof work though.

Re: Yogi injury
Sharon and Jim told Eric and I that the neighbors fixed the roof after Jim Fell. It is just a temp fix though.
